This 1911 was probably shipped February
5, 1919 to Chillicothe, OH. After May 6 1918 they were
shipped out of order for faster production.

Has heart shaped openings under grips
that started at approximately serial number 375,000.

Pistol also has the thick trigger guard,
and barrel with combined HP mark.

Note UNITED STATES PROPERTY marking over
serial number. This practice started around serial number
500,000 (examples that do not have the UNITED STATES
PROPERTY marking over the serial number have been
encountered as high as 513636.) |
